HAY 365 is a family-owned Central Ontario operation with more than 30 years of experience producing high-quality hay. Over the years, we have continued to invest in equipment and processes that allow us to handle small-square hay efficiently at wholesale volume.
Our story
More Than 30 Years Producing Hay
HAY 365 is a family-owned operation with more than 30 years of experience producing high-quality hay in Central Ontario.
Over that time, our operation has evolved around one goal: producing and handling small-square hay more efficiently while maintaining the quality and consistency our customers expect.
As one of the early farmers to adopt the Bale Baron system, we were able to streamline the high-capacity small-square hay market by grouping individual bales into larger, easier-to-handle bundles.
That investment became the foundation for the way HAY 365 operates today.
Built for High-Capacity Small Squares
The Bale Baron changed the way we handle small-square hay.
Instead of managing individual bales one at a time, finished small squares can be grouped into 21-bale bundles for more efficient handling, storage and transportation.
Adopting this system early allowed us to build our operation around higher production volumes and the needs of wholesale buyers.

Summer production
Summer — Harvest & Bundling
During the summer months, our focus is on producing and bundling as much quality hay as possible while field conditions are right.
Using our Bale Baron system, we can efficiently package small square bales into 21-bale bundles for storage, handling and shipment.
The goal during the harvest season is simple: make the most of good weather and put away as much quality hay as possible.
Extending Production Beyond the Field
Traditional small-square hay production is heavily dependent on weather and the limited hours available during harvest.
To increase flexibility and make better use of the hay we store, HAY 365 introduced a dedicated indoor re-baling process.
This allows us to use the speed and efficiency of large-square baling during the harvest season while creating finished small-square bales later in a controlled indoor environment.
Large-square bales are internal re-baling stock; our customer product is finished small-square hay.
Winter production
Winter — Indoor Re-Baling
Large-square hay stored during the season can be brought indoors and carefully re-baled into consistent small-square bales.
Our indoor processing setup allows us to keep producing finished 21-bale bundles through the winter while maintaining product quality and controlled bale weights.
This process gives us greater control over the finished small-square format while allowing us to continue preparing wholesale hay after the summer harvest season is over.
